Castle Park Reopening – What will events look like?

We’re very excited to announce that we are preparing to reopen Castle Park to the public, following our closure at the end of March due to the global Coronavirus pandemic. The safety of our staff and visitors is paramount here at Castle Park, and as such, a lot of work has been going on behind the scenes during the closure to ensure that when we do reopen it will be a safe environment for everyone. This may mean that your events with us will be slightly different for the foreseeable future but rest assured we will still be on hand to ensure your event is the very best it can possibly be.

Here are some of the changes around the venue that you may notice:

  • Prior to your event, your event coordinator may send you some simple steps you can take to prepare safely for your event. This will include reminding your guests that they MUST NOT attend if they’re feeling unwell and may also include staggering arrival times if you have a large number of guests.
  • Your arrival at Castle Park will be slightly different as our new one way pedestrian entry system means you can only access the site via the signposted entrance, where you may also be subject to pre-entry temperature checks, sanitisation points and registration.
  • Social distancing guidelines will be in place on site with all guests requested to maintain a 2m distance (where possible) from other guests from different households. This will also be noticeable within our pre-booked rooms where capacities will be reduced to allow safe seating of all guests.
  • Safe access routes to all buildings and pitches will be clearly identified by signage.
  • Prior to your arrival, your pre-booked room will have been sanitised with high use touch points such as door handles also being sanitised at regular intervals throughout your visit.
  • Sanitisation points will be available in each building and hand sanitisers will be provided within pre-booked rooms.
  • All toilets and enclosed public spaces will have a safe maximum capacity policy to help minimise crowding in enclosed areas. Safe queuing spaces will be provided when required.
  • Your menu options may differ slightly to our advertised menu’s to allow us to safely prepare and serve food to your guests. You will be notified in advance if this affects you.

We will continue to adapt our policies according to Government guidance at the time, which could mean further changes to your event at short notice but we will always do our best to keep you updated on any necessary changes. If you have any concerns at all please don’t hesitate to speak to a member of our team on 01302 831388 or events@castle-park.co.uk.

We look forward to seeing you all back at Castle Park soon!
